Brawn, the only connected community lifting app designed for lifters and strength trainers within a gym facility, launched in the summer of 2022, has already made a significant impact on the industry as a whole.
As part of the next stage of development, Brawn has announced Lucian Weston, former Digital & Business Development Director at PureGym and previously Strategy Consultant at PwC, has joined Brawn as Strategy Advisor.
Lucian has a clear vision to support Sohail Rashid, Founder & CEO, and the team to refine Brawn’s offering as the industry begins to embrace digitalisation within fitness facilities.
Lucian says:
“The fitness industry can learn from other industries when it comes to implementing and delivering technology to the end user. Digitalising the gym floor should be a priority for operators and strength training is no exception – Brawn is the best example of a company trying to solve this problem.”
"Brawn's mission to make strength training more accessible is crucial, in particular as strength training increases in popularity and there is growing evidence of the long-term health benefits. Providing education, support, and community for gym members and personal trainers alike can have a significant impact on membership retention and personal training income."
Sohail Rashid has continued to develop the product offering, following significant engagement with key customers. With the obvious return on investment for clubs with new product features, Brawn is set for significant growth for the rest of 2023 and beyond.
Sohail says:
"Lucian oversaw the digital transformation at PureGym and has the inside track on innovation in this space, having created their app, which was rolled out across the UK, US, Saudi, and UAE. The app became the Health and Fitness App of the Year in 2021, with over 1 million monthly users.
“We are delighted to have Lucian on board, his input on product strategy and gym partnerships will help make Brawn available to more people, across the globe.”
“For gym operators and personal trainers, they can expect to see better connections between members that enjoy lifting and increased lead generation for small and one-to-one personal training.”
The Brawn team will be heading to FIBO , Cologne in Germany and will be present at the European Health Fitness Forum (EHFF) on Wednesday, as well as enjoying the FIBO trade show. If you would like to arrange a meeting with the team please email sohail.rashid@brawn.co.uk.
